Description

No. 9 Castle Street is an early building that was refaced with brick and stucco, and the first floor has been colour washed. It has a tiled roof with two gabled casement dormers. The building is of single storey and attic design, featuring two ground floor canted casement bay windows. A gabled wing extends to the rear, constructed of probable early 17th century heavy timber framing, which contributes to the group interest of Castle Street Stables when viewed from the east. Nos. 5, 7, and 9 form a cohesive group.
