Description
Pageant House is an early 19th-century building located on Jury Street, featuring a three-storey facade with six windows, finished in stucco. The facade is accentuated by tonic pilasters at the ends of the first and second floors, topped with an entablature and a parapet. The ground floor showcases horizontal rustications with panelled projections at the ends beneath the pilasters. The entrance bay, which slightly projects and is off-centre, includes a porch supported by Greek Ionic columns and an entablature, leading to a five-panel door and a rectangular fanlight. The sash windows are adorned with moulded architraves, and those on the first floor also feature a pulvinated frieze and cornice. Three sash windows to the left of the porch are likely later additions that mimic the original design. All the listed buildings on the south side of Jury Street form a cohesive group.
