Description
No. 8 Grange Walk is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of brown brick with a stucco plinth and red brick dressings, topped by a tiled pitched roof. The building has two storeys with an attic in the gable end facing the street. The first floor features three main bays and a narrower bay to the left, with one window now blind. The entrance door has a tripartite overlight and is framed by a moulded wooden architrave with a flat hood supported by carved brackets. The windows display irregular placement, with gauged segmental arches over sash windows that have flush frames and glazing bars; the ground-floor window includes shutters. There are brick string courses at the first and second floors. The interior has not been inspected. Nos 5-11 Grange Walk, which are consecutive, form a group with this house.
