Description

No. 15, Grange Walk is a school building, later used as a youth centre, dating from 1830. The building is constructed of yellow brick with a stone plinth and cornice. It has a double-gable return of six bays, with an entrance in the end bay. The main elevation has three bays, with round-headed windows on the ground floor featuring stone archivolts and sills. The first-floor sash windows, with glazing bars, have moulded stone architraves, cornices, and aprons. A stone string below the windows is inscribed "Bermondsey United Charity School for Girls, erected AD 1830”. The return elevation has similar fenestration, but with brick surrounds. The interior was not inspected as part of the listing process.
