Description

These are a pair of late 17th-century houses located on Grange Walk in Southwark, with alterations made since their original construction. The houses are built of yellow brick with red brick detailing, a stucco plinth, and a pantiled, pitched roof with dormers hidden behind a brick parapet. Each house has two storeys and an attic, and originally three bays. Number 11 has a new front door set within a timber doorcase dating from around 1700, featuring pilasters and carved brackets supporting a small, curved, triangular pediment above the door. The windows have sash glazing bars in flush frames, with keystones above the ground-floor windows. Number 10 has been altered on the ground floor to create a garage entrance, featuring decorative iron gates, and a later door has been added to the left. A moulded band of brick runs along the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. Numbers 5 to 11 Grange Walk form a group and are of group value.
