Description
This is an 18th-century table tomb located in St Mary's Churchyard, near the entrance from Bermondsey Street in Southwark. It is made of stone and features a very unusual design, standing within its original railings on a two-stage stone base. The canopy of the tomb is supported by six tapering, fluted legs. It is situated north of the corner watch house, immediately to the left of the entrance path from Bermondsey Street, and is approximately 25 meters south of the southwest corner of the church. This tomb is notable for being the only one that stands directly on Bermondsey Street.
