Description
The Stables at Warwick Castle were built around 1768 to 1771 by Job Collins, possibly based on designs by Robert Mylne. This structure is made of ashlar sandstone and features a courtyard plan that is enclosed on three sides. It has a hipped roof covered with old tiles and stands two storeys tall. The building includes leaded casements set beneath flat arches and has cornice moulding. A central pediment slightly projects over a window and an arched opening, which is framed in a round-headed reveal. The Stables are part of a group that includes Warwick Castle itself, along with its boundary walls, conservatory, mill, and lodge.
