Description

A villa, built in the early to mid-19th century and subsequently altered, now used as offices and flats. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a painted stucco facade and a Welsh slate roof. It is set at an angle to the road.

The exterior is of two storeys with a basement to the rear, featuring three first-floor windows. The first floor has six-over-six sash windows in plain reveals with sills. The ground floor has a central entrance with steps leading to a four-panel door within a distyle Doric porch, which is now glazed. To the left of the entrance is a canted bay window with single-pane sashes and horns, set in double-chamfered reveals with sills. To the right, a step leads to a tall casement window with an overlight, both with glazing-bars within a tooled architrave. The roof is hipped, with tall chimney stacks that have cornices. The right return side has two first-floor windows; these are six-over-six sashes with tooled architraves to the ground floor. Five steps lead to a three-panel, part-glazed door with a divided overlight. The rear of the villa features a staircase window with a four-over-six sash with margin lights, plus six-over-six and eight-over-eight sashes to the basement.

The interior contains a dogleg staircase with stick balusters and a wreathed handrail. A Gothic-style fireplace is located in the ground floor room on the right, while a Regency-style fireplace is in the room on the left. Original features include four-panel doors and deep skirting boards.
