Description
Prospect Farmhouse, dated 1743, may include parts of an earlier building. It features a front elevation made of brick and sandstone ashlar, with quoins. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles, hipped at the west and gabled at the rear, with a gabled cross-wing at the east, creating a U-shaped layout. The farmhouse has two storeys and four bays. The late 19th-century carved barge boards adorn the gabled cross-wing. The ground floor has four openings with stone lintels and keyblocks, including four-light mullion/transom casements and a pair of French windows. There are two brick chimney stacks.
