Description
Lock House, located at Lock 34 on the Grand Union Canal, is a lock cottage dating from around 1800. It is constructed of brick and has a plain tile hipped roof with a dentilled eaves cornice and a single chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, there is a single two-light glazing bar casement window with a segmental arch, and to the right, there is a doorway with a cambered arch. The upper storey features a similar, smaller casement window with a cambered arch. This cottage is a rare surviving example of a little altered Canal Company cottage.
