Description

Haseley Manor is a large mansion dating from 1875, designed by William Guy for a diving engineer named Hewlett. Constructed of rock-faced stone with plain tile roofs, the house exhibits a picturesque, asymmetrical composition incorporating Gothic and Elizabethan styles. Features include gables, a pierced parapet, stone mullion windows, and canted bays. A pedimented gable with volutes is located on the left side. A prominent central tower incorporates a circular stair turret and a porte cochere with moulded arches and an oriel. A smaller embattled tower is situated at the north end. Inside, a variety of chimney pieces are missing.
