Description
The Old House is a house located on Gentleman’s Lane in Ullenhall. It dates from the 17th century, with likely earlier origins and later additions, including a 20th-century range on the left. The building features small timber-framing with painted brick infill and a gabled plain-tile roof, arranged in a three-unit plan.
The exterior is single-storey with an attic and has a three-window range on the ground floor. The entrance is off-centre to the left, featuring a plank door set in a moulded wood frame beneath a gabled timber porch. To the left of the entrance is a canted bay window, while to the right are three-light casements with glazing bars. There are two gabled roof dormers, each with casement windows that also have glazing bars. At the rear, there is an outshut under a catslide roof that showcases timber-framing, along with a rear internal stack.
Inside, the house is reputed to have chamfered beams, plank doors, and wide oak floorboards.
