Description

The churchyard gates, piers, and railings for the Church of St Mary the Virgin were likely built around 1875 and are made of cast iron. The double gates feature two levels of rails with a diamond motif in between, topped with a scroll motif and pointed bars. There are two cylindrical fluted piers with caps. The railings consist of three levels of rails, with the upper level also featuring a scroll motif and pointed verticals interspersed throughout. This complete set of railings surrounds the churchyard and forms a group with the Church of St Mary the Virgin.
