Description
This is a boathouse located south of Park Farm, built in the mid-19th century, likely designed by John Gibson. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The boathouse is two storeys high, with the elevation facing the pool showcasing a loggia above a round-headed boat arch. The coped wall above the arch is flanked by ramped wings and piers topped with finials. The loggia is supported by paired timber columns with iron capitals and has a latticed timber balustrade. Inside, there is a barrel-vaulted ceiling adorned with decorative plaster scrollwork panels and moulded corners.
