Description

The bridge carrying the B4086 over Compton Pool is a structure from the 1770s, likely designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown or Robert Adam. It is made of limestone ashlar and features five elliptical-headed arches, with the widest arch located at the center, and a stone parapet. This bridge was constructed as part of 'Capability' Brown's landscaping project for Compton Verney Park, which took place between 1768 and 1774.
