Description
The south entrance gateway to Compton Verney is an 18th-century structure made of limestone ashlar. It features two square piers topped with cornices and pineapple finials, which are connected by a wrought-iron overthrow and paired gates. The attached side walls are later additions and are set to be rebuilt. At the time of review, the gateway had been dismantled and was in storage.
