Description

The Red House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features ironstone quoins. The roof is steeply pitched, covered with machine tiles, and has coped gables and stone end stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window range. Most windows have been renewed and consist of cross-casements, along with three gabled roof dormers. The entrance is located in a 20th-century porch on the right side of the building. Inside, it is reported to contain an original bressumer.
