Description

Dormay is a house located on Church Street in Welford-on-Avon. It dates from the 18th century, with a mid-19th century addition on the left side. The building is roughcast and sits on a rubble plinth on the right. It has a slate roof, with the upper part on the right laid in diminishing courses, and features brick end stacks. The house is designed in an L-plan.

The exterior consists of two storeys and a two-plus-two window arrangement, with the later addition on the left being taller and featuring a timber cornice on the right. The entrance is positioned to the left of the centre and has a canopy over a small-paned half-glazed door. To the right of the entrance is a three-light small-paned casement window with an iron opening casement, and above it is a similar window with a square shape. To the left, there is a 3/6 sash window. The addition has 8/8 horned sashes on both floors. The right return of the house includes two casement windows and a small porch with an altered door at the front, which adjoins Green Bank. The rear of the house features a gabled wing. The interior has not been inspected.
