Description
This cottage, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 2 meters west of the Malt Kiln. It is constructed of timber framing or brick, which has been rendered, and features a 20th-century tiled roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey plus an attic. The front has a two-window range of 20th-century casements, while the rear retains original casements. There is one gabled dormer, and the entrance is now in a brick gabled extension at the front. A 'Britannia' lead firemark is located at the rear. Inside, the cottage includes a chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a narrow chamfered bressumer. The attic storey features a straight flight staircase with a turned baluster rail, and the original roof trusses are visible.
