Description
Thorncroft is a farmhouse built in the 18th century and early 19th century. The left side is made of rendered 18th-century brick, while the right side features coursed lias rubble. It has a 20th-century tiled roof that is half-hipped on the left, with stone-coped gables and brick ridge and end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high, with a four-window range of 19th-century three-light casements. In the center, there is an 18th-century six-panelled door with a flat hood above it, and to the left side, there is a three-light leaded casement. Attached to the left is an 18th-century wall made of squared coursed lias with shaped stone coping, standing approximately 1.5 meters high and extending along the road for about 50 meters. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
