Description

A house, originally two cottages, dating to the mid-to-late 17th century. It is timber framed with brick infill, set on a stone plinth, and has a thatched roof with brick ridge stacks. The original plan comprised two units. The house has one storey plus an attic, featuring a four-window range of 20th-century casement windows, with eyebrow dormers in the attic. A 20th-century door is positioned on the left side, constructed using reused planks. Adjacent to the left is a two-storey range built in a style intended to imitate the original. The interior retains features such as chamfered spine beams with arrowhead stops and chamfered joists, along with two large open fireplaces, one of which has been partially rebuilt. It is believed that the original roof structure remains.
