Description
This is a house with origins in the 16th century on the right-hand side, and further development in the 17th century. The house is timber framed, with a rendered finish on a stone and brick plinth. It has a 20th-century tile roof and a brick end stack. The layout is T-shaped. The front façade presents a two-storey, two-window arrangement of 20th-century two-light casement windows. A 20th-century door is set back behind a 17th-century opening in a gabled crosswing to the right. A one-storey brick range built in the early 20th century is located to the left, featuring a horizontal sliding sash window. Inside the 16th-century section, the ground floor has plain joists, with windbraces visible on the first floor. The ground floor of the 17th-century range showcases stop-chamfered spine beams and joists, along with a large open fireplace featuring a moulded timber bressumer. Roof trusses are visible on the first floor. The house includes timber and plaster partitioning throughout.
