Description
115 and 117 High Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone alterations and additions in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with stone dressings and features a restored old tile roof, forming an L-plan layout.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic and has a three-window range. It includes ashlar quoins and a top cornice. The ground floor has been altered in the 20th century, featuring a wide throughway to the left of a small-paned bow window, which is flanked by panelled pilasters and an entablature. The first floor has segmental-headed windows with renewed 8/8 sashes, along with three renewed pedimented dormers that have 2-light glazing. The entrance is located at the right return of the throughway, leading to a rear wing with an end cross-wing. The interior has not been inspected.
