Description
No. 111 High Street is a house dating from around 1800, though it likely has earlier origins. It is constructed of painted brick with stucco dressings and features a slate roof with a brick stack at the rear. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range.
The entrance, located to the left of centre, is framed by panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a bracketed canopy above a six-fielded-panel door, two of which are glazed. To the left, there is a canted bay window with small-paned glazing arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern, while the right side features another canted bay window topped with a cornice above a tripartite sash window with a 4/4:8/8:4/4 configuration, flanked by return 4/4 sashes. On the first floor, the windows are set within wide frames and have stucco wedge lintels over 10/10 sashes.
Inside, the house is noted for having some exposed timber-framing on both floors.
