Description
No. 121 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century and features an altered front. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and has a gabled roof covered with renewed tiles.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic, with a single-window range. There is a top dentilled brick cornice. A bowed shop window, added around 1970, has panelled pilasters, an entablature, and small-paned glazing. The ends of the beam are visible in the wall at each end of the window. On the first floor, there is a window with a sill and a brick flat arch above an 8/8 sash window. The attic features a 19th-century gabled dormer with a two-light small-paned casement that includes an iron opening casement. The entrance is located to the left in the passageway of George House and consists of a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
