Description
Bradford House is an early 19th-century house, now used as shops and flats, located on the High Street in Henley-in-Arden. The building is constructed of brick with a scored stucco finish, and has a Welsh slate roof with a brick stack at the rear ridge and a separate end stack. It follows a double-depth plan.
The exterior presents three storeys and a three-window range. Wide eaves are present. Early 20th-century shop fronts are visible, with a fascia over the entrance to each end and small-paned bow windows framing the entrance to the flats; the shop to the left has a canopy. The first floor features a central window using a 2/2 sash. Flanking this are canted oriels with decorative friezes and cornices, containing 1/1:3/3:1/1 sashes to the left and 1/1:2/2:1/1 sashes to the right. The second floor has windows with 3/3 sashes flanking the central 2/2 sash window. An inserted window to the right of the centre has 20th-century glazing. Segmental-headed windows are visible at the rear.
The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
