Description

St Swithin's House is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the mid-18th century, raised in the mid-19th century, with some 20th-century additions. The building is constructed of brick with a stucco top floor, featuring stone dressings and a hipped slate roof with two side wall stacks. It has a chamfered plinth and quoins, first and second floor bands, and wooden modillion eaves. The structure has three storeys plus a basement and is three bays wide. The south side features a central pedimented wooden doorcase with a six-panel door, of which the top two panels are glazed. On either side of the door are single glazing bar sashes, and above are three similar sashes. The Bank Street side has two glazing bar sashes, and above, to the left, is a similar sash, all with segment heads. The interior has not been inspected.
