Description
The building is a former barn located immediately east of The Gables, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, with a 19th-century roof and 20th-century alterations. The exterior features a timber frame with painted brick and plastered infill set on a limestone plinth, topped by a renewed half-hipped tile roof. It is a single-storey, four-bay structure with two entrances: a 20th-century plank door on the left and original plank doors leading to the threshing floor. There are seven 2-light leaded casements. The rear has a stone and brick plinth and an end lateral stack. Inside, one half of the barn has a ceiling, while the other half features trusses with tie beams and principals truncated by collars, with rafters supported by pairs of diagonal braces.
