Description
Fairview is a cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The right end and rear are constructed from regular coursed limestone rubble, while the front is made of red brick. It features a thatched roof and a brick stack at one end. The building has an L-plan layout and is a single storey with an attic. The entrance, located on the right, has a panelled door set in a doorway with a segmental-arched head, accompanied by a rustic porch. To the right of the entrance is a three-light wood casement window with glazing bars and a brick segmental lintel. Above, in a swept dormer, there is another three-light wood casement window with leaded lights and crown glass. At the rear, there is a thatched single-storey kitchen range. Fairview is part of a row of three cottages. The interior has not been inspected.
