Description

Village Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house built from regularly coursed limestone rubble and topped with a slate roof. It features brick or stone end stacks and stone copings. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The central entrance is highlighted by an arched stone surround, leading to a recessed six-panelled door and a fanlight above. On either side of the entrance are 16-pane sash windows. The first floor has two 16-pane sashes and one 12-pane sash. The left end of the house includes two sashes on the first floor and a blocked window opening. All windows are fitted with glazing bars, and there is an ironstone plinth along with dressings around the windows and door. The interior has not been inspected.
