Description
Old Tollbar Cottage is a toll house built in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition. It is constructed from squared, coursed limestone and brick, topped with a 20th-century tile roof and featuring a brick end stack. The building is one storey high and has a three-window range with a single-unit plan. On the left side, there is a small brick range that includes a plank door with Gothick panelling and a stone hood mould with label stops. To the right, there are three leaded single-light casements, each with hood moulds and label stops. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
