Description

The Round House is a toll house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of random limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with a rendered stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. The front has timber lintels over a blocked central door and 20th-century casements in a semi-circular bay. The roof sweeps around the front and is hipped at the rear, with a ridge stack. There are timber lintels over 20th-century casements on the left side wall. A 20th-century single-storey extension has been added to the right front, which includes the current entry. The interior has not been inspected.
