Description
Lovell's Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with a mid-19th century extension at the rear. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features an old plain and club tile roof with brick stacks. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range.
The front features a timber lintel over a mid-18th century four-panelled door, which is flanked by a 20th-century porch and an adjoining lean-to on the right. There are timber lintels above mid-18th century two- and three-light leaded casements, along with a similar one-light casement to the right, next to a 20th-century light. The roof is gabled, with a gable end stack on the left.
At the rear, there is a gabled two-storey parallel extension, dated 1864, made of squared and coursed limestone. This extension has flat chamfered stone arches over a central four-panelled door with an overlight and two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
