Chest tomb to John Horton of Elliotts Hall, d.1817. Ashlar chest on pinkish-brown brick plinth. Rectangular on plan, approx. Late Neo-Classical style. 1.75m high by 1m wide by 2m long. Stepped plinth, moulded base. Long sides each have central oval inscription panel within rectangular frame with fluted decoration to the spandrels, between shorter rectangular panels. The short sides have rectangular panels. Surmounted by gently hipped slab with shaped sides. Also dedicated to Mary, relict of John Horton, d.1855; to John Horton d.1876 and Elizabeth his wife, d.1867; to John Horton d.1900. All the listed buildings in the churchyard form a group.
