Description

The Elliott tomb, located approximately 9 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. Mary, is a chest tomb dating from around 1760. It commemorates Ann, the wife of John Elliott, and John himself. The tomb is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a moulded slab supported by fluted pilasters. Each long side of the tomb is adorned with a Greek key pattern that outlines two square panels. At the time of the survey, some of the panels were noted to be loose.
