GV II

House. C16 with C20 extension to rear. Timber-frame with painted brick infill on painted stone plinth; steeply pitched thatch roof with brick axial stack with 2 diagonal brick shafts. 2-unit plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. C20 doors and windows throughout. Front to street has right end of plinth rebuilt in brick; large plastered panel to centre forming side of back-to-back fireplaces; paired casements to each end of ground floor and to 2 eyebrow dormers. Left return has brick plinth and windows to each floor and to attic; similar windows to right return. Rear has large late C20 wing to left of blocked entrance and 2 windows to ground floor and eyebrow dormer; present entrance is to wing adjacent to right return of original structure. 3-panel-high square framing with close-studded framing to ground floor right return. INTERIOR: not inspected, but noted as having large fireplaces.
