SP3055 VILLAGE STREET, Moreton Morrell 1901-1/11/147 (West side) Entrance gates and railings to Moreton Hall

GV II

Entrance gates and railings. c1906. Possibly by WH Romaine-Walker. Wrought-iron. Central paired gates have enriched scrollwork panels; flat openwork piers have heart motifs and scrolly finials; overthrow with initials; side gates with similar piers, with natural foliage finials. Railings to each side are swept forward and end in piers as those to side gates; railings have plain heads and decorative details to bottom.
