Description
The entrance gates and railings to Moreton Hall, located on Village Street in Moreton Morrell, were constructed around 1906 and are possibly designed by W.H. Romaine-Walker. Made of wrought iron, the central paired gates feature intricate scrollwork panels. The flat openwork piers display heart motifs and ornate finials, while an overthrow includes initials. The side gates are similarly designed with piers that have natural foliage finials. The railings on each side sweep forward and terminate in piers matching those of the side gates, featuring plain heads and decorative details at the bottom.
