Description
The railings, gates, gate-piers, and boundary walls at Spennithorne Hall date from the early 19th century. They feature wrought-iron railings and gates, with ashlar sandstone piers and rubble walls. A low rubble wall with ashlar saddleback coping separates the back and front drives to the Hall and supports railings made of square-section bars topped with tall pyramidal finials. There are three pairs of gates constructed from square-section bars adorned with lozenges and intersecting circles. The railings and gates have urn finials on both the end and intermediate standards. The structure includes four gate-piers made of rusticated ashlar, each with cornices; the outer two have coved caps, while the central two feature pyramidal caps above a plain frieze. Additionally, there are rubble walls located to the south of the churchyard and to the south of the gardens.
