Description
The building is a National School, dated 1833, constructed of coursed rubble with an artificial slate roof. It is a single-storey structure featuring two original bays, with a third bay added on the left, which matches the style of the original building and forms a rear projecting wing. The openings are framed with sandstone ashlar, featuring pointed arches with small keystones and imposts. A projecting gabled porch is located between the original two bays, with a doorway that has a 20th-century part-glazed door. Above the doorway, in the gable, there is an oval plaque inscribed 'This School ERECTED A.D. 1833'. The building also has 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars. The left gable is coped, and the apex is topped with a small bellcote.
