Description

Pigeon Green is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a painted plinth, and parts have been rebuilt in brick. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a brick cross-axial stack, along with a stack at the rear of the ridge and another at the left end of the taller right unit.

The building has a three-unit plan and is single storey with an attic, rising to two storeys on the right side. The front has a three-window range, with a two-window brick addition on the left and a taller single-window brick-fronted range on the right. The entrance is located at the rear. There are three square 9-pane windows, with the middle window set in a brick projection that has a sill. There are two similar windows to the left and one to the right, positioned next to the brick projection. The roofs are gabled, and there are three gabled dormers with 6-pane casements from the 20th century.

The right side of the building shows exposed wall posts, a tie beam, and principals that are halved and crossed at the gable head. The rear features timber framing on the left part, while the center has a 20th-century brick wall with a parapet, containing three windows on each floor, with the ground floor windows reaching the ground. There is a gabled single-storey wing with an attic on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
