Description

The Old Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the north side of Brookside in Snitterfield. It features a timber-frame construction with painted brick infill and an old tile roof, along with a large brick cross-axial stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. The entrance, located on the right return, has a plank door set in a moulded frame. The windows are 2-light casements, with two pairs on the ground floor and a single window to the left and a pair to the right on the first floor. The framing includes three panels high and one brace on the left end. The roof is gabled, and there is a plastered outshut with a catslide roof at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
