Description

Tudor House is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and brick, topped by a steeply pitched renewed tile roof with a brick ridge and internal stacks. The building is arranged in an L-plan, with a projecting timber-frame wing on the left and a brick wing on the right, which includes two wings on the left return.

The exterior consists of two storeys. The entrance to the right wing has a segmental-headed design with a six-fielded-panel door in a moulded frame. To the right of the entrance, there is a segmental-headed window featuring an early 19th-century casement with three ogee-headed lights. Above this, there is a similar two-light casement. The left wing has matching three-light casements on both floors and a small 20th-century gable window. The first floor of the gable end displays square framing with braces and a large square panel. The right return reveals an exposed braced tie beam and a small window with a bracketed canopy.

Additionally, there is a single-storey gabled extension on the left return, which includes a cross-axial stack and a small first-floor light, with exposed timber framing visible on the gable of the wing to the left.

The interior is noted for its exposed timber-framing and beams.
