Description
This stable and cowhouse, located approximately 10 meters east of Pratts Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid 19th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone, with the cowhouse on the left featuring a right end wall and gable that have been rebuilt in brick, complete with brick corbelling. The roofs are covered with old tiles.
The structure consists of two adjoining ranges, with the taller left range likely serving as the cowhouse. It has a central plank door and a small 19th-century window, both supported by blackened wood lintels. The right side of the stable includes a hayloft door. At the rear, the stable has a stable door and a small window, while the cowhouse also features a small window. This building is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
