Description

The Smithy is an early 19th-century forge located on the north side of Lighthorne Church Lane. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a tile roof with a brick stack at the left end. The building is one storey high and consists of two bays. To the right, there are double stable doors, and a 4-light leaded casement window with plank shutters. The interior has not been inspected, but the forge is still in operation. The Smithy adjoins Smithy Cottage.
