Description
Wellhead. This structure dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from regular coursed rock-faced limestone with ashlar dressings. The wellhead features a round-arched niche with a stone surround that includes imposts and a keystone, along with a circular stone basin. The gable has been altered and now displays 20th-century moulded coping, as well as a shaped sunk panel with a moulded surround and a coat of arms. The walls on either side are shallow and concave. The wellhead is built into a hillside.
