Description
This is a terrace of eight cottages located on Cottage Lane in Stratford-upon-Avon, built around 1820 and mentioned in a will from 1842. The cottages are constructed from brick with buff headers and feature a slate roof with four brick cross-axial stacks. They are two storeys high and present a symmetrical eight-window facade. The top has a modillioned brick cornice. The round-headed entrances, arranged in pairs with one at each end, have blind fanlights above plank doors. The ground floor includes segmental-headed windows with three-light small-paned casements that have iron opening casements, while the first floor features windows with two-light leaded casements, also with iron opening lights. There are rear wings. These cottages are a well-preserved example of their type and are situated next to Anne Hathaway's Cottage.
