Description

This building is a row of three cottages, originally six, located on Ely Street in Stratford-upon-Avon. They date back to the late 16th century and were restored and refronted in 1971, replacing a brick front from around 1800. The cottages feature timber framing set on a brick plinth and have a renewed tile roof with two louvres. The structure is two stories high and has a six-window range. There are three entrances, each with 20th-century plank doors, and the windows are 20th-century with two- and three-light leaded casements. The left return and rear elevations display original square framing with a braced wall plate and tie beam, along with small rear windows that have 20th-century casements. The interior is noted to have three timber-framed chimneys.
