Description
Tudor Cottage is a town house located in Stratford-upon-Avon, dating from the late 16th century or 17th century, with a 19th-century refronting. The building features a stucco exterior with an internal timber frame and has a tile roof that continues with the roofs of Nos 47 and 48, along with a brick stack at the rear. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The central entrance is framed with an architrave and cornice, leading to a six-flush-panel door with two glazed panels. On the ground floor, there is a four-light casement window to the left and a 19th-century canted bay window to the right, which has a frieze and cornice, along with two four-pane and two two-pane sashes. The first floor features windows with two-light casements, which are partly small-paned and likely from the 18th century. The left half of the building has a slight jetty on the first floor, and there is a rear gabled wing. The interior is noted for having some exposed timber-framing and beams.
