Description
This building is a row of four cottages located at 26-29 Waterside in Stratford-upon-Avon. They likely date from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century refronting. The cottages are constructed of brick, with earlier timber framing visible on the interior. They feature a tiled roof with two brick stacks positioned at the rear of the ridge. The cottages are single storey plus attic and have a four-window range. A top modillioned brick cornice adds detail to the façade. The segmental-headed windows are fitted with 2-light small-paned casements, with Nos 26 and 27 having small lights. There are four gabled dormers, three of which contain 2-light casements with small panes. The entrances are segmental-headed and have plank doors. Additionally, there are small rear wings. Inside, some exposed timber framing and framed fireplaces can be found.
