Description

A barn dating from the early to mid-18th century, located in Lower Quinton. It is timber-framed with weatherboarding set on a rubble plinth, and has a tile roof. The threshing-floor entrance is situated to the left of the centre and features paired plank doors. The right gable end has been rebuilt, and there is an entrance in the left gable end. A later outshut has been added to the rear. The interior contains tie-beam and collar trusses with diagonal bracing, with one truss featuring a braced tie beam. The barn is historically significant due to its prominent position in the centre of an attractive village, immediately adjacent to the College Arms public house.
